Dysfunction of the Familiar
Dysfunction of the familiar would appear to be of objects (a chair and a tape player) placed in front of a large mirror mounted onto a wall. The ‘mirror’ however is in fact an opening cut into the room beyond in which the objects are replicated. A sheet of clear glass separates the rooms, and a recorded soundtrack of Peggy Lee’s song ‘Is that all there is’ resounds the space.
